Frequently asked questions
Anyone considering training for the first time usually has the same six questions in mind. Here are our answers – no fine print, no sales pitch.
What first contact is usually about
At the front desk on Industriestraße, we hear the same concerns almost every day – out of practice too long, too little time, not enough know-how with the equipment.
No one stands alone in front of a machine on their first day with us. Before the first set, we walk through the training area together, adjust seat heights and weights, and clarify what you want to achieve. Someone who hasn't trained in ten years starts differently than someone switching over from another studio – and we discuss exactly that beforehand, not in passing.
Time is just as common a concern. A thorough full-body workout on our machines takes about 45 minutes with us, a class 45 to 60 minutes. That fits in before work or on the way home.
What to bring to get started
- Clean indoor shoes with a firm sole
- Comfortable sportswear, ideally in layers
- A towel for the equipment padding
- A filled water bottle
- Notes from your doctor, if there are any restrictions
Three ways to get started with us
Some people want to take a look first, others want a plan in hand right away, and others come for the classes. All three paths lead through the same initial consultation.

Learn moreThe six questions we're asked most often
- Can I try the studio out beforehand without commitment? Yes. Before any decision, we offer a trial session. You arrange an appointment by phone at +49 30 23125103 or by email to team@fitnessstudio-puls.invalid, come to Industriestraße 40 in sportswear, and take a look at the facility. We show you the equipment, you try out a few machines, and ask your questions. Afterwards you decide at your own pace – you sign nothing on that day. You'll find all the details on the Trial Session page.
- I haven't done any sport for years. Do I need prior experience? No. A large part of our members are returners coming back after years off. You don't need to know the equipment or the names of exercises. Before the first set, we go through every machine with you, adjust it to your height, and start with weights that move smoothly. We only increase the load once the movement feels right. If you have any pre-existing conditions or medical advice, let us know in the first conversation – we'll tailor the plan accordingly.
- How do I sign up for a class? Through the class schedule. It lists all the week's sessions with times and class types; from there you secure your spot. Because groups are limited, it's worth signing up a few days in advance, especially for evening sessions. If something comes up, please cancel in good time so your spot can go to someone on the waiting list. Classes are included in your membership, so you don't pay extra per session.
- How much supervision do I get on the training floor? At the start, you get a full introduction and a training plan tailored to your goal and available time. After that, someone from the team is available on the floor during opening hours – for a correction to your form, a new machine setting, or if an exercise feels off. Those who want more can book personal coaching with fixed appointments and regular plan adjustments. Details are on the Personal Coaching page.
- What memberships are available and how long am I committed? We offer several options that differ in term length and scope – from short-term entry to longer commitments with a lower monthly fee. Current terms, durations, and notice periods can be found on the Membership page; we go through them together in the first conversation before you commit. You receive the contract in advance to read and can take it home with you. In case of prolonged illness or a move, just talk to us – we usually find a solution.
- I work full-time. When can I train? Working professionals are one of our largest groups, which is why class times are deliberately scheduled early in the morning and in the evening. Current opening hours and all class times can be found in the class schedule. For busy weeks, we build you a shorter program: a full-body plan of around 45 minutes, two to three times a week, that fits alongside shift work or office hours too. See the Working Professionals page for how this looks in practice.

How Your First Session Works
Many questions at our front desk are about getting started. So here's the path from your first call to your own training plan — no prior experience needed, no preparation required, and at your own pace.
Schedule an appointment

You reach out by phone or via the contact form. We suggest two to three appointment times, including early evenings after work.

You reach out by phone or via the contact form. We suggest two to three appointment times, including early evenings after work.

During the tour, we show you the equipment area, class room, and changing rooms. Afterwards, we talk calmly about your goals, your daily routine, and any issues you may have.

We record your baseline values and use them to put together a plan that fits your available time — usually two to three sessions per week.

You train your first round together with a trainer. Every exercise is explained, and seat position and weight are set and noted for you.

After the trial session, you decide without time pressure. If you'd like to stay, we'll settle the plan, term, and start date the same day.
